PORT ORANGE, FL – Coastal Grill & Raw Bar, a new restaurant concept from the parent company of Stonewood Grill & Tavern and Peach Valley Café, Stonewood Holdings, is officially opening on December 10 with a sneak peek special event on December 8. Located on Dunlawton Avenue and specializing in coastal fare, it was created with the mindset of fresh and local ingredients and a lively social atmosphere. Guests will encounter a friendly environment with a relaxed vibe, including a coastal inspired interior, music from local artists, and plenty of delicious food and drinks to enjoy.
“We’re extremely excited to have the opportunity to bring our first Coastal Grill & Raw Bar to the Port Orange community,” said Steve Papero, co-founder, president, and CEO of Stonewood Holdings. “We feel that the Coastal experience will complement the wonderful dining choices in Port Orange. We are cautiously optimistic about the brand and wanted our guests to have a memorable and comfortable experience every time they visit. Therefore, we’re keeping it fresh in everything that we do, we’re keeping it local as much as we can, and most importantly, we’re making sure to provide a social and high-energy environment every moment they’re at Coastal.”
Corporate Chef Mike Drury and his culinary team have put together a well-rounded menu filled with a variety of dishes that will entice ocean and land lovers alike. Many of the menu items are inspired by the local and national cuisine. Guests will be able to travel the edible world with items, such as the New England Clam Chowder, Alaskan Snow Crab Legs, New Orleans’ Low Country Boils, and Po’ Boys, and a St. Augustine original, Minorcan Clam Chowder. A signature aspect will be a full raw bar with locally, as well as nationally, caught seafood. Non-seafood dishes will also be available, including filet mignon, BBQ ribs, Smoked Wings, burgers, and other meat and poultry menu items. Plus, Stonewood fans will find many of their favorite dishes. A full bar packed with local craft beers and signature cocktails will be offered too.
Mary Pat Jones, a Stonewood Holdings veteran and general manager, expressed her amazement with the team’s results commenting, “I’ve seen this team evolve and improve for 14 years and they still manage to impress me. We’ve always put our heart into everything that we do, and I know guests will feel it too once they take a bite out of our creations. I’m excited for everyone to meet our new family member.”
Before the official opening on December 10, guests can choose to taste and feel the Coastal vibe by attending a Pre-Opening Charity Night on Saturday, December 8. The event will support the local Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia and Flagler Counties. With a reservation and a minimum $25 donation, guests will be able to taste exclusive food and drink samplings from the Coastal menu.
“It’s a Stonewood Holdings tradition that is primarily focused on just giving,” said Papero, as every new restaurant has held a local charity event before their grand opening. “The Boys & Girls Club represent the future of our community and our neighborhoods, and we want to support them.”
